Does Secondhand Avenue help with Estate Clearances?

Yes, we offer complete estate clearances. We purchase house holds of goods and arrange prompt collection.

We also work with our sister company - Over & Above Moving - to arrange transportation of goods to family members, cleaning, home staging and preparation for sale. 

Secondhand Avenue are discrete, honest and respectful. We work quickly and can work with you remotely if you're out of town.

What area(s) do you work within?

We are based in Tauranga and work within the wider Bay of Plenty region.

We're happy to work remotely with people if they are out of the region, but the home or goods are based in Tauranga or the wider Bay of Plenty region.  


Are you licensed second hand dealers?
Yes, Margaret Engelander is a licensed second hand dealer. Licence No 17-041733.
What type of items do you buy and sell?

We purchase house holds of items, and arrange the disposal or charity gifting of the remainder of the items. Often the items we're most interested in includes;

  • Gold/Silver

Do you charge fees? 
Usually this would be factored into price/quote offered. Occasionally there may be additional charges for rubbish removal, shipping items and cleaning if required.
What happens once I contact you?
We will arrange a time to meet to view the items. With a standard house-lot we should be able to give you a verbal quote to purchasing immediately.  If there are items which may need further evaluation or research (eg unusual collections, artwork etc), we will agree to a timeframe for Margaret to get back to you.
How long does it take to collect the goods? 
Usually collection can be organised within 7 working days.
How do you quote/price before you make an offer?

A written quote will be provided either immediately and/or by email and will detail major items.
