Antique German Opisometer (Map Measurer) (ref: 6726)
An opisometer, also called a curvimeter, meilograph, or map measurer, is an instrument for measuring the lengths of arbitrary curved lines.
On this German made opsiometer, one side of the dial is marked "Statute Miles", "Kilometres", "Nautical Miles" and "Inch to Miles". The other side of the dial is marked "Inches to Miles or Versles" and "Centermetres to Kilometres".
It is in good condition for its age. It measures 110mm in length and the diameter of its face is 33mm.
