c.1900 Signed Aquatint Etching by Marcel Augis (9359)
Although this medium is that of an aquatint etching, the work of Marcel Augis in tone, has been described as the early 20th century equivalent of modern photojournalism.
The Imperial War Museum‘s collection in London includes over fifty pieces by Augis.
Condition: The aquatint is good condition and still in its original, sealed frame. Unfortunately the glass pane has been crack across the middle. the mat has foxing and has darkened with age. It measures 370mm wide x 457mm high x 10mm deep.
