'The Gleaners' is an oil painting by French Master Painter Jean-François Millet completed in 1857. It depicts three peasant women gleaning a field of stray stalks of wheat after the harvest.
'The Angelus' was completed between 1857 and 1859. The painting depicts two peasants bowing in a field over a basket of potatoes to say a prayer, the Angelus, that together with the ringing of the bell from the church on the horizon marks the end of a day's work.
Both pictures are in excellent condition. They measure 345mm w x 285mm h x 20mm thickness of frames.
