*RARE* Lebadang: The Emperor's Festival - Vintage Print on Board (9458)
According to online research--this picture is VERY rare. Date of creation is between 1950-1969. In 1964, Frost & Reed, London produced Offset lithographs of this painting on thick art stock, unframed - which are currently selling on Ebay for USD$255.
**This lacquered print on board is beautifully framed in a gold frame with wooden inlay**
It is in good condition - just two tiny scuffs (see photos) and measures 660mm wide x 850mm high x 30mm deep.
Lebadang (b.1922 - d.2015) was born in Vietnam and emigrated to France in 1939 to study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse. His work is exhibited in Dusseldorf, Paris, Nantes, Cologne, Cannes and Aix en Provence galleries--and further included in numerous permanent private and public collections including: Rockefeller Collection, New York; Loo Collection in Tokyo; Verkerke Collection, Holland; Phoenix Art Museum, USA; Cincinnati Museum, USA; Columbia Art Institute, USA; Lund University Museum, Sweden; Foundation Museum, Kenya; and the Museum of Arts and Letters, France, among many others.
