Circa 1797 George III Cartwheel Twopence. Very worn age condition.34mm Dia 26grams. The Great Britain. Cartwheel Twopence  is a 56-gram copper coin, the largest British circulating coin ever struck, known for its massive size and distinctive raised rim which earned it the "Cartwheel" nickname. It was produced using steam-powered presses at Matthew Boulton's Soho mint, but its large weight made it susceptible to damage. The coin features King George III on one side and Britannia with a trident and shield on the other.
